If you wish to make something really nice looking and extremely tasty I would recommend this amazing Strawberry and Rose Dome Cake by Peggy Porschen. The recipe is written in details on Peggy’s book Boutique Baking. I will not write the whole recipe here as you can get it easily online (and is very, very long and detailed) but can only share some of my pictures.
I used the 15cm (6in) sphere mould, as instructed, and when I initially got it, I thought that is very small. However once you add the marzipan and sugar paste, somehow grows and it is decent size. It is very easy to make, but you have to make it in two days. It needs patience but I promise that outcome is fab.
You can play around with the icing and mix colours of your desire. I choose pink and light blue.
The cake is very light and fresh especially as I put fresh strawberry inside.
